What we've done

• Built two new-build schools (Valley Road and Grangetown schools) complete with community facilities and adult and family learning opportunities.
• Totally refurbished Hudson Road School and extended it to include community facilities.
• Specialist staff to work with children moving up from primary schools to secondary school, increasing attainment at Key Stage 3 level.
• Community learning for adults and young people.

Educational attainment has improved at all stages, significantly narrowing the gap between the Hendon and East End area and the rest of the city.
