The Childcare People 

The Childcare People Hendon will specialise in supplying high quality childcare workers to organisations in the region. The business will recruit qualified workers from Training In Childcare's courses to create a bank of professional child carers. The model replicates a successful enterprise in South Tyneside which has seen the creation of 15+ full time jobs and currently 40+ part time workers on a bank. The project will creates a supply pool of qualified high quality staff with the ability to supply cover for a variety of settings including: nursery nursing officers, classroom assistants, playwork, respite care, crèche workers, and childcare support assistants in schools.

The design of the project is to engage with local people who are interested in a career in childcare, and to build their confidence in achieving qualifications and their knowledge of this sector.
