Live and Work Credit Union

This initiative is for residents or workers within the boundaries of the City of Sunderland to participate in the development, implementation, management and operation of a new live & work Credit Union within the City. Essentially any resident and/or employee within the City can become a member, therefore a proportion of the funding required was awarded from Back on the Map. The project gives access to financial services and low cost loans which are not traditionally available to some residents for example those without a bank account. Back on the Map funding has been used to recruit and train community volunteers to run the service in the area.
