HE Bursaries

This project provides specific financial support in the form of sponsorship for up to fifteen new students per year from the East End/Hendon area who attend university on a full time basis to study for a first degree or equivalent. An annual sponsorship of £1,500 is available to each eligible full time student to make it easier for them to cope financially in what is recognised as a difficult time for students to make ends meet. The money is paid to the beneficiaries in equal instalments per semester (terms at a university) of £500 and will last for the duration of funding continuing to be available. A student from the New Deal area, therefore, who attends university for three years receives a total of £4,500. Project is seeking funding for continuation September 06.
