Community Hand

Started January 2007 and will provide an ‘odd-job' service for the residents in the Back on the Map area. Jobs ranging from changing light-bulbs, to refitting a loose piece of carpet, to fixing a shelf will be carried out at a very low cost. There is a manager and two supervisors in post and four young people from the Hendon and East End area have been recruited as apprenticeships to the project.
